I headed out for a longer hike today on all new trails. It would probably take years to hike all of the possible paths in the Marin area. It seems like every main marked trail has a dozen smaller single track paths, some of which stay parallel to the main segment and some of which veer off to a completely different mountain. It’s fun exploring, which is good because I struggled to find a direct route home. 13 excellent miles hiked today, which makes about 23 total since arriving. Most of the views were obscured by fog, though it was clearer in the beginning of the hike so I managed to capture a bit of scenery.

Dude this is awesome. Great idea to chronicle your new life and all that hiking sounds amazing, especially since it’s right by your house. I’ll be following this for sure.
